NBC News- Children who drink whole milk may be less likely to have weight issues.

Canadian researchers looked at 28 studies involving nearly 21,000 children and their milk consumption.

They found that those who drank whole milk were 40 percent less likely to be overweight or obese.

That’s compared to those who drank reduced-fat milk.

The scientists are planning another study where they hope to establish a cause and effect between whole milk and the lowered risk of obesity.

Tips to be healthier in 2020

As 2019 winds down, many of us are aiming for a healthier 2020!

Experts with the American Medical Association have some tips for New Year’s resolutions to put you on the right track.

You can start by improving your diet.

Try to cut down on processed foods, especially those with added sodium and sugar.

Eat less red and processed meats, and more plant-based foods like olive oil, nuts and seeds.

When it comes to beverages stick with water instead of sugar-sweetened drinks.
