Yet Barrymore has made it clear that her figure is the result of arduous work. The star uses a mix of exercises to keep herself in shape. She is also strict about her diet.
HER TRAINER MARNIE ALTON
Of course, she also has help from her friend and trainer, Marnie Alton. In February, Barrymore dedicated a post to the fitness professional who she has known for 15 years.
Barrymore credited Alton with helping her get into shape for the Netflix show, “Santa Clarita Diet.” The actress wrote, “Marnie is one of the greats. Period.” She lost 20 pounds with Alton’s help.

Barrymore has also mentioned Kimberly Snyder as it relates to her food intake in the past. Snyder put Barrymore on a “super clean” diet, which also helped her lose the weight for her show.
According to Women’s Health Magazine, Barrymore has also used EmSculpt technology to tone her mid-section. The noninvasive treatment allows one to sit back while their muscles are effortlessly worked.
HER COMMENTS ON KIDS
Despite her sessions with a trainer, Barrymore has acknowledged a difference in exercise before and after having kids. She is mom to Olive, seven, and Frankie, six. She told Women’s Health Magazine:
“I have to fight so hard to be in shape or be in a smaller size or lower weight, and people don’t talk about the fact that when you have kids, everything goes out but it doesn’t always come back in.”
STAYING CONSISTENT ON THE MOVE
In August 2020, Barrymore again stressed that staying in shape was no easy task for her. The “50 First Dates” star reportedly said that yoga and pilates are part of her routine, and she has to be consistent.
Earlier this year, she noted that there’s “no excuse” for not exercising in this day and age. At the time, Barrymore was promoting another one of her trainers, Taryn Toomer, who has a program called “The Class.”

Around the same time, Barrymore shared her own before and after post alongside a lengthy caption talking about her weight loss journey. “I go up and I go down,” she began.
In the left part of the side by side photo, Barrymore’s stomach was prominent as she walked outside in a pair of black sweatpants. On the right, she stunned in a little red dress.
Barrymore made it clear in the caption that she lives her life for her kids. However, the changes to her body since having kids once led her to cry in her closet.
The “Charlie’s Angels” actress stressed that no one should compare themselves to those walking the red carpet. The struggle to be in shape can often lead to unhappiness.
Luckily, Barrymore was able to find a balance between the enjoyment of food and the sustainment of her health goals without being overwhelmed. She is right where she wants to be.
BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT MAKEUP
In addition to having a great body, Barrymore also remains naturally beautiful. In late August, she graced fans with a bathroom selfie of her makeup-free face and showed just how age-defying she is.
The former child actor who was emancipated at just 14 is clearly doing something right. She even has a new show, “The Drew Barrymore Show,” which will air in September on CBS.
