Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive, but it can take time to shift your diet and habits for the better, according to Dr. Meg Haworth on That Expert Show with Anna Canzano. Haworth is a nutritional celebrity chef and the best-selling author of Get Well Now.
Canzano’s guest advised Monday evening that someone trying a healthier food regimen commit to it for at least 21 days before giving up. Ideally, Haworth recommended 90 days because that’s the length of time it takes for a complete tissue change in the body.
The tipsheet from the episode summarizes Haworth’s key points on adjusting to a dairy, gluten or soy-free diet, avoiding binge-eating unhealthy foods while binge-watching, and the importance of ingesting enzymes to help your body process the food you consumer.
That Expert Show is a weekly interview show hosted by Canzano in partnership with The Oregonian/OregonLive. It utilizes input from the audience and is streamed live every Monday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time via Facebook, Twitter and the show’s website. It’s also available as a podcast (Apple or GooglePlay) and on IGTV.
